Innovators of Central Europe, unite!

by | Jan 6, 2019

If you are:

  • a product manager who creates innovative solutions to make life easier
  • an R&D specialist and you apply the discoveries of science to improve human life (not only mainstream technology, but also the improvement of processes like education)
  • an entrepreneur or a manager and your strategy and ambition is to grow your company through the development of intellectual property and innovations
  • a researcher interested in the practical aplication of your knowledge
  • a person who cares for human creativity, critical and independent thinking …

… the following news may be interesting for you (no worries, this is not a sales post).

Being a true innovator sometimes involves being a rebel. Customers, market and society may not understand you at first. But these rebels are the people who push the human culture forward.

Henry Ford, when asked about the success of the legendary Ford T model, said: “We did not use marketing research – if we had asked customers what they wanted, they would have said faster horses because they did not know what a car actually is.”

The more innovative and ambitious the plan, the more sacrifice and hard work it requires. We have to be able to step outside our comfort zone, constantly develop our knowledge and finally we need some luck too. But above all, what we need is support: investors that are ready to think out of the box, reliable business partners and business friendly institutions.

Egbert-Jan Van Dijck (PDMA VP Europe) i Wojciech

Therefore, to make our own luck, on December 3, 2018 we established the Affiliate of Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) for Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia). PDMA is an international association for product managers, innovators, scientists – in short, all people with big aspirations. It was founded in 1976 in the USA and it is a real non-profit organization (not a company pretending to be NGO) – it based on a voluntary work of people who are passionate about innovation and who want to support each other.

If this sounds interesting to you and you are from Cental Europe, you should join us during our first PDMA event in Warsaw on the 28th of June: we will discuss challenges in the product management but also present PDMA plans for Central Europe.

If you are looking to improve product management skills, you need to info about new trends in science and business or you have an interesting project that you think we should broadcast, let me know and we will try to include this in the plans.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!
